What is it and why? 

Coaching is a unique process of collaboration centered around helping you grow in awareness of what matters most to you. A more wholesome approach where you are in control of your journey. 

Coaches are in essence your guide to self-discovery and finding solutions and that transformative drive within yourself for healthy changes.

When it RAINS, do you curl up in a ball with the mindset: it's the rain's fault that I'm going to get sick. the universe hates me...I can't do anything so I'll just mope and complain and cry because that's all I can do.

Do you embrace it and feel it washing away your stress, cooling you, nourishing the earth, and you accept it. It can rain all it wants. That won't stop you from getting up and walking through it like a boss. Unstoppable!

Differences

Therapy

Trapped in the past. Not ready to open the door and walk outside because of so many fears and insecurities. Therapists help you navigate the past to heal from that point so that you can finally open your door. Usually long-term associated with mental health conditions. 

Counseling

For a limited time, there is a focus on a very specific present issue. Substance abuse, eating disorders, and career are a few of the main issues often seen.  You are given answers and prescribed methods on how to solve the issue. Often in conjunction with rehab.

Consulting

I have an issue and need a solution ASAP. Tell me what to do!!!! Consultants have a formula, a 3+ step plan that you utilize and it "should" work. You are basically given the answer to your problem.

Coaching

Focused on the present moment with goals for the now and future. It's the, I want to climb the mountain, but I need a little help!!!!! Yea! Let me be your mountain guide! I'll guide you but I won't carry you. You'll have to walk and climb it yourself. However, I'll be with you until you decide you don't need me anymore.

Objectives

Healthy perspective and behavioral changes towards a more fulfilling life physically, spiritually, and mentally.

*Waterfall Training, a deep 2-hour coaching session. No actual sitting under a waterfall....yet. Who knows.

Outcomes

Dependent on the coachee's motivation and efforts throughout the coaching process as well as maintenance of the new change. Research has shown improvement in multiple aspects of physical, spiritual, and mental health.
